The following is a guest post on the blog of the friend who’s been known to bring vegan food and wine to her friends.

I was invited out to dinner last night with my friend, and we decided to skip the dessert to get the wine. While I was waiting to be served, the server offered me a glass of wine that she said I was supposed to get. I looked at it and was dumbfounded. It was a bottle of red wine that was labeled as vegetarian. It had a green label. It wasn’t a wine with any green leafy vegetables on it. It was a vegan wine.

We are talking a bottle of wine from a vegan-friendly company. I guess that makes the owner of the company vegan.

There are a lot of things that I can be vegan about, but not vegan wine. For example, buying a vegan beer is a lot of work and a lot of people are allergic to beer. Also, why does the vegan wine company give you a bottle they claim they have to keep refrigerated when you ask for it to be chilled? I know that its supposed to keep its alcohol content, and the label says its made from 100% vegan ingredients.

The most important thing about wine is that it’s just not about the alcohol content. That’s why most new wine drinkers are not vegan. So when you ask a bottle of wine to be chilled, ask it to be chilled to -20 degrees, because if it’s chilled to -20 degrees, I have no idea what the alcohol content is, and I don’t want to ruin the bottle.

And that brings us to the second most important thing about wine: the alcohol content. When a bottle of wine is chilled to -20 degrees it is perfectly safe to drink. Which is why it’s such a big deal when a bottle of wine is found to be dangerously alcoholic. I’m not saying this to be a downer but I’m just saying that there is a reason wine is labeled as “100% Vegan.

That being said, if your bottle is found to be dangerously alcoholic, it is safe to drink. It just means the alcohol content has gone way up. Or that the wine is not from a vineyard. Or something. In most cases, a bottle of wine is safe to drink at -20 degrees.

In addition to the safety concerns from a wine bottle being labeled “100% vegan,” there are other reasons to drink alcohol. Alcohol is a depressant, so if you’re going to be sitting around drinking alcohol, it is wise to take the time to hydrate. And while the general public might not be aware of the dangers of alcohol, a lot of people do know the dangers of drinking alcohol.

Just a quick note about alcohol: While alcohol is in no way, shape, or form a drug, it is still depressant. So if you are going to be drinking alcohol, it is important to take time to hydrate.

While many people view drinking alcohol as a harmless, fun activity, if youre not careful, it can have a serious side effect: it can cause a person to lose consciousness. The most common cause of a person losing consciousness due to alcohol overdose is a combination of alcohol intoxication and alcohol withdrawal.
