My brother used to tease me about trying to lift weights. I didn’t know what I was in for. The weight room had been my happy place: a place where I didn’t have to think about my weight and could focus on the results; a place where I could focus on my workout, or on the food that was on my plate; a place where I could focus on my life; and the last place of all, a place where I could just be.

Weight lifting is the most fun you can have in this world. Even more so when you are doing it with a group of people you dont know and cannot converse with. Weightlifting is a social activity. You can tell if someone has been doing it for a while (as you can see in the screenshots below) because they have a certain sort of physique, they have a certain sort of look on their face, or their clothing is a certain color.

You can tell if someone has been doing it for a while because they are all looking very, very sharp. And there is definitely a group of people in this screenshot.

Weightlifting groups are social. If you are a “weightlifter” you are part of a group of people who are lifting weights. But if you are not a weightlifter, then you cannot know if you are a member of a weightlifting group.

We are all part of a weightlifting group because we all lift weights. But weightlifting groups are more than just lifting weights; they are a social thing. Weightlifting groups are like social clubs, or fraternities, or sororities, or sorority groups, or sorority houses. Weightlifting clubs are essentially your own personal gym, your own personal gym you can go to on a regular basis.

Weightlifting groups are open to anyone who wants to join, but there are some rules about who gets invited and how many people. Weightlifting is a social sport, and that’s just one of the social aspects. Also, you get to weigh yourself, and it can really help to have a physical trainer look over your form.

Weight lifting makes you feel great, and a good portion of society considers it as a form of exercise (and the fact that most of the people who go to fitness centers don’t weigh themselves, or they just look at a scale to make sure they’re actually doing it, makes the whole thing seem more sinister).

If you get the impression that there are people who get to lift weights, then there probably are people who don’t get to lift weights. Weightlifting is a very social sport, and is mostly played by men.

In the same manner that weightlifters tend to meet on the weekends or on a friday night, weightlifting meets on the weekend. The sport is more social than competitive, and even though it is a very competitive sport, the average weightlifter will not be as strong as the strongest lifter.
