I’m from the Caribbean and I’ve seen hurricanes. I’ve been in a hurricane before, but I’ve never actually seen one. This summer is shaping up to be one of the hottest. With the hottest temperatures in the upper 70’s and the most humid of all the seasons, humidity is at a record high. In fact, I think it has been a record high of 93% since June 10.
This year, the average temperature was 92 degrees, and the humidity was so high that it reached 92.8 percent. So, Ive been hearing reports along these lines.
If you live near the Gulf Coast, you know that its high humidity and temperature make it almost impossible to go outside.
Well, we can’t all go out in the sun, but we can definitely go outside in the shade. And the Gulf Coast is one of the warmest places on Earth. With the Gulf Coast being the warmest part of the continental US, you’ll find that this is one of the most pleasant places to visit in winter (though the hot summers are getting to be pretty brutal).
The hottest part of the Gulf Coast is in the southern end. That is where your average tropical hurricane is born, and the Gulf Coast is the warmest part of the continental US. So it takes a lot of heat from the Gulf of Mexico to put the Gulf Coast into that state of being. But that isn’t the only reason that the gulf is so hot. The Gulf of Mexico is one of the few places on our planet where it is extremely humid year-round.
It is also home to the hottest place on Earth, the Arctic Circle.
For a long time now, the Gulf Coast has been a part of the United States. But that changed when Hurricane Katrina hit the region in 2005. Katrina was the first and only time the Gulf Coast was hit by a hurricane in the Atlantic. Katrina was only the first of many hurricanes to hit the Gulf Coast. The Gulf Coast has now been hit twice by hurricanes.
While it is true that the Gulf Coast is the driest place on Earth, we’re not completely sure how it got that way. If you like your humidity, tropical depressions, and hurricanes, you may never feel like it because humidity is a major cause of the dry spell. In fact, the gulf has been hit by hurricanes twice recently! In 2003 the gulf was hit by Hurricane Ivan, but it was a very mild hurricane, with very little flooding.
The first time was in 2004 when Hurricane Ike was centered in the area and flooded Houston, killing thousands of people and left 80% of the city’s buildings destroyed. In 2006 Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast and left more than 2,000 dead. It is not surprising that the Gulf Coast is so prone to hurricanes, but it is sad because it has been hit by more than any other place on Earth.
The Gulf is a very vulnerable place. In fact, in its own way the gulf is a microcosm of the entire planet. It is the place where a large portion of the Earth’s atmosphere is located. When the air gets disturbed, it can cause a lot of damage to the atmosphere. This is especially dangerous since it’s so close to the surface. Hurricane Katrina was one such disturbance.
