I’m a big fan of nomadic static. It’s a term I came across online and read a couple of times before I started writing about it. I think it’s a term that refers to a state of being where you have an out of body experience, where you’re not in the here and now, where you’re in transit to another place, where you are completely in the present.
I don’t think there’s any particular word that explains it better than nomadic static does. I think I have a pretty clear definition of what it means for me: it means I have a state of being where I’m not in the here and now. I’m moving to a place that I’m not in, but I’m not entirely sure where I was at that time. I’m not even sure what I’m doing at all. It’s like a limbo.
Nomadic static is often applied to people who spend most of their time outside of the present. For instance, if you go to an airport and the people around you are talking about their trip, you may be experiencing nomadic static on some level.
I think nomadic static is similar to that feeling. It’s feeling like you are not in the here and now. It’s like being in limbo. It’s like you are in a state where you are not in the here and now.
Another way to look at this is that Nomadic Static is akin to the state of mind you are in right now, like the feeling of being in a state of limbo. I think that’s why it’s usually applied to people who have the tendency to wander off to the side and not get back to where they started.

It’s also a perfect description of a lot of our thoughts and actions. If we’re not in a fixed state of mind, then we can go on auto pilot and do things that are totally counterproductive to our goals. If we’re in a fixed state of mind, we can be very reactive and not think about things. That’s a good thing, because it can prevent us from doing things that we would be too busy to stop ourselves from doing.
Static people wander off and have no idea where to go. Static is often a good thing, because as a result of being static, you don’t have to think about stuff. You can just let your thoughts and actions take care of themselves. A static person keeps up to date on all the news and what’s going on in the world and can always find a way to turn back to the here and now.
Nomadic is the opposite of static. Nomadic is someone who has a lot of static information at their fingertips. Instead of thinking about things at all, they just let their thoughts and actions take care of themselves. They are rarely confused and never lost.
