I’ve just realized that a lot of the negotiation strategies I use to win business have been based on what I call negotiation hacks. I have been using all sorts of approaches and methods to come up with new negotiation strategies. I’m amazed at just how many negotiation hacks I’ve discovered in the last few years.

I am making this offer to you, and Im willing to come to a specific time and place to meet with you, but I want you to give me a date when it is appropriate to meet with you.
The date you have set for me is to be negotiated. You are negotiating a date with me, and you know that I will be coming to your specific place and time. You are giving me a date to meet with you, and you are also willing to come to a specific place and time. That means in your particular case that I will have the option to come to your specific place and time.
That’s a pretty standard negotiation, but it’s one that many people have found useful, so it’s worth mentioning here.
