describe an experience which caused you to change your perspective and/or opinion.
I recently watched the documentary “The Three Levels of Self-Awareness”. In it, three people are told that their lives would be better lived if they just took a few risks. In one person’s life, he would learn to think about his choices in a different way. In another person’s life, he might learn to appreciate the moment more and put his self-worth into perspective.
This same principle works for everyone. Change your perspective and you change your life. Change your opinion and you change your world. It’s a good thing to start thinking about, so I think it’s worth it to watch The Three Levels of Self-Awareness.
As long as you continue to change your perspective and opinions, you change your life. The other benefit of this perspective is that it can change your world. So even if you don’t make a change in your own life, you can change the world. How? By giving others the same chance.
This is the idea behind The Three Levels of Self-Awareness. If you make it a habit to question your beliefs, your world, and your opinions, you can change them for the better. I recommend this video first, because you’ll come away with a more positive perspective.
As you can see, the concept has a lot of parallels to how things work in real life. As well as the fact that I am an opinionated person, you may have noticed that I have a tendency to write about the views of others.
I don’t really think we need to be that cynical, but I also don’t think we should be as positive and optimistic as we are sometimes. That’s because we’re not really in control of our thoughts, and our thoughts can have a negative impact on our lives. Not only that, but we have to live with them.
And that’s why I love this blog. It’s because I know that if I don’t push myself to think about things in a different way, I’ll end up with a negative outlook on life (including the things I like or have enjoyed). So I’m always seeking out ways to do things differently, even if that means taking a detour or learning something new.
Well it can be easy to get caught up in the drama of life sometimes when you feel like you dont have control. So I have found it helpful to have a very simple list of things which I can control (like what I actually eat, not what I say I plan to eat). I am constantly looking for ways to reduce my stress levels and increase my self-awareness so I can live with less stress. For instance, I used to work 12 hour days and I would get stressed out.
I also use the same list to control my alcohol intake. I really like to keep a few things on my list but I know that is not enough. For instance, I really like to drink a glass of wine during the day and at night I like to have a couple beers. Well, the last time I drank a glass of wine I was so drunk you would think I was having a seizure. It was such a traumatic event that I started to take the wine more seriously.
I don’t mean to sound like a broken record, but I’m going to tell you my experience drinking wine while driving. It was the last straw.
